The Fort Myers facility, the first under the partnership and design team, will open to the public on Saturday, September 12, the company announced Tuesday. For more information, visit his website on PopStroke.
PopStroke founder Greg Bartoli previously announced that the locations would be Naples, Tamiami, and Sarasota. A location in Naples has yet to be determined. PopStroke original location is in Port Saint Lucie.
PopStroke is a golf entertainment venue featuring two of his 18-hole putting courses designed by Woods and his TGR design team. This is the first time since Woods took an interest in the property about a year ago and agreed to design the course for the PopStroke Golf Course facility. Facilities also include a full menu of outdoor dining, a selection of craft beers and other alcoholic beverages, ice cream, outdoor games, and a children’s playground.
PopStroke uses an app that includes almost everything you need for contactless payments and ordering. Drinks and food can be ordered and delivered anywhere on the course.
“We look forward to partnering with PopStroke to bring families and friends together through golf, especially putting,” said Woods in a press release age group.
“Building two putting spaces with families, kids and experienced putters in mind was a fun challenge for me and his TGR design team. We are proud to own and partner with PopStroke. .”
Woods has won his 15 major championships, second only to Jack Nicklaus. At 82, he finished first on the PGA Tour in his career. Woods will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2021.
The two 18-holes his putting courses are all synthetic turf and include fairways, bunkers and rough like those found on conventional golf courses. The Tiger Course is designed to challenge the experienced putter with complex geometries and tricky hole positions. The Cub Course’s soft contours and low bunkers make it a great PopStroke Golf Course for children, families and first-time golfers. “We are extremely excited to open our second PopStroke store in Fort Myers, Florida, bringing a unique putting and entertainment experience to the west coast of Florida,” Bartoli said in a press release. It’s about bringing friends and family together in a fun, interactive environment, and Fort Myers is the perfect community to do just that.
“From 24 flavors of premium ice cream, signature milkshakes and an outdoor playground to a 36-hole golf course and technology experiences on our mobile app, we truly offer something for everyone, regardless of age or skill level. “We are equally excited to introduce the game of golf to more players, as well as introduce the first-ever PopStroke putting course by Tiger and TGR Design.”
A dedication ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 10th, hosted by Bartoli and attended by TGR Designs, Stevens his construction, Lee County officials and the media.
