What are HSRP plates with color-coded stickers?
HSRP with color-coded stickers, also known as Smart HSRP, is a new and improved version of the original HSRP. Smart HSRP has a special color-coded sticker with a QR code on the rear side of the registration plate.

This program was launched by the Government of Haryana in association with the Transport Department in the year 2000 to reduce vehicle theft. This program was soon implemented in Delhi after the success of Haryana where around 1,25,000 vehicles were registered under this program.

As per the latest notifications from the Government of India, all vehicles in the country must be fitted with HSRP. It is implemented for the safety and protection of the vehicle.
