You’ve probably seen or heard of the Ionic Pro air purifier if you’ve studied any ion purifiers. Even if you don’t really want to shop for one, the Ionic Pro Ionic Air Purifier is hard to miss when you’re watching TV late at night. When it comes to ion cleaners, it looks like they’ve been crowned the new kings of commercials as the successor to The Sharper Image. In fact, you’re probably wondering if this newbie is addressing one of the much-criticized issues that took the Ionic Breeze off the market.

Who is the Ionic Pro made by?

This cleaner is manufactured and sold by Ionic Pro, LLC. They don’t belong to any other company. Until recently, they only marketed their products on television. Today, however, these products are available in many retail stores, including Wal-Mart. The fact that they are not owned by any other company can be viewed in two ways. Since they only make one product in different sizes, it seems easier for them to make a quality product. It seems very easy for them, too, to disappear altogether.

Comparison with the Ionic Breeze air purifier

Ionic Pro  Medical Grade Air Purifier share all of their advantages with the very similar Ionic Breeze devices. The most obvious, important, and often only difference between them is the design and shape of the actual machine. The Ionic Pro Compact air purifier is similar in size to a smaller model of the Ionic Breeze. However, the Ionic Pro is usually available for less. Since ionic air purifiers are pretty simple, you can probably safely buy the cheapest one available to you.

Compared to HEPA cleaners

It is not as easy as you might think to compare HEPA cleaners to ionic cleaners. While not quite as efficient, ion purifiers basically do the same job as a true HEPA air purifier. They only use a minimum of electricity and are designed for full-time operation to compensate for the lower level of efficiency. As soon as the machine gives a low hum, the bar that collects all the garbage needs to be wiped off, but filters never need to be changed. The filter itself is usually the biggest limitation of a HEPA cleaner. They are determined by the size of the holes in the filters that force air through and block things that aren’t just air. The air particles that are most important to any air purifier are 99.7% removed in a real HEPA purifier. However, there is no such guarantee or standard with HEPA type cleaners. With ion cleaners, however, the biggest limitation is airflow Medical Air Purifier. While HEPA cleaners can only filter what can’t pass through holes in their filters of any size, the ionic cleaners eventually catch anything that is attracted to that magnetized rod. This is important information to use when comparing the two. One disadvantage of an ion cleaner is that it only filters particles that are 1 micron or larger. The most dangerous and difficult particles to filter are 0.3 microns, and that’s what almost 100% stop real HEPA air purifiers.
