Photos That Show The Fatal Nature Of The Floods In North Eastern India

The government has said that the unprecedented damage from floods and landslides in three northeast states of Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh should be assessed using space technology. The floods in the Northeast region of the country have already taken 80 people’s lives along with it. The centre on Thursday called the floods and landslides rocking the region in an “unprecedented” manner.

Assam is the worst affected of all the states with a total of 50 flood-related deaths in 26 districts of the state. Here are 18 pictures that show the devastating nature of these floods in the north east.
