In India birth defects are considered a sign from God and this one-eyed baby goat born in Assam is being worshipped as one.
The baby goat, born on May 10, suffers from a defect called cyclopia, with only one eye and one ear, and many other deformities. Cyclopia occurs when the brain’s two hemispheres do not separate.
Mukhuri Das, the goat's owner told Metro News, "I was shocked. It's like a miracle and people have been coming to our place to see this baby goat."
Vets predicted that such animals die almost hours after birth, but this goat defied all odds and is still alive.
Das also believes that the birth of this goat will bring luck to his home. "So many people are coming to our place to see this baby goat. We are happy that it's making us famous," he says,
The “miracle” goat has attracted dozens of villagers, with many even trekking from neighboring areas to seek blessings.
